a few spots left in the...

Have you dreamed about becoming an urban farmer?
Want to incorporate urban agriculture into your current work?
Do you want to spend the season on a beutaful farm in Brooklyn!

The Adult Farm Training program is designed to be a holistic educational experience for those interested in agriculture and food justice. (That said, people interested in physical education, nutrition, sociology, education, or myriad other topics could benefit from this apprenticeship). This training program provides a unique opportunity to work on a production farm within NYC with its own CSA, farmers market and restaurant accounts. Work with youth is incorporated into the farm training; if you are a teacher or garden/fam educator, this training can bring your skills to the next level. At the Youth Farm, we view the time spent doing hands-on farm work as the most important component of learning about horticulture/urban agriculture.

Deadline extended to Friday 4/6

**Tuition for the training program is $2,100 for the full season (30 weeks) and $1,400 for the summer only (20 weeks). This fee ensures the sustainability of the training program, and a percentage of the fee goes towards the farm’s community involvement work. Payment can be made in two installments.**
