Visit the Farm

We love visitors! The Youth Farm is a unique urban farm on the front lawn of a public high school, therefore we are not always open to the public. Please visit us through one of our designated programs or during open hours.

Come to our Farmers Market

Our Farmers Market is open every Wednesday (through October 31st) from 2:30-6:30pm. Come to purchase the best locally grown produce and flowers, and sample healthy treats at our youth cooking demos.  We accept cah, EBT, WIC, Heatlh Bucks and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Programs.

Volunteer!

Join us for our regularly scheduled volunteer days. Individuals do not need to RSVP, just come on by. We request groups give us advanced notice so we can be prepared.

Attend Free Public Workshops

Once a month we hold free public workshops on gardening and food justice topics. Topics range from seed starting to food justice to healthy cooking.

Farm Based Education

The Youth Farm hosts groups of all types and ages for on-farm workshops. We design each tour or workshop to suit your group’s interests. Please fill out a workshop request form.

Schedule a special Group Tour If you would like to bring a group for a volunteer day outside of our regular volunteer days, please email Patricia (@) bkfarmyards.com. We love having community and corporate groups come to see the farm, learn about what we do, get their hands dirty and do team building. If you would like to bring a group for a special tour, please fill out a Tour Request Form.
