Internships are a great way to help out on the farm. Our internship opportunities are designed around a specific project we are working on, and developing specific skills for you. Internships can last from 1 month to 6 months, from 2-10 hours a week. We are currently looking for Interns to help in the following areas...Event/Fundraiser Planning
We are about to kick it to fundraising time and are looking for 3 talented organizers to help us plan some fun and tasty events. This can include helping with publicity, setting up the space, running the event etc. We are looking for someone to help plan a movie night, a night at a bar, and some dinner parties. We are looking for people who can help with one event, or work with us on a regular basis.
Outreach and PR
Our programs are designed to build the capacity of the community and advance food justice in central Brooklyn, which is dependent on people knowing about them! Help us spread the word about our programs and events. We have a lot of inquiries from the press, and we need a little help managing them. More specifically doing targeted press outreach. This internship requires a commitment of at least 4 months.
Educational Signage
This person will meet with farm staff to discuss how
signs around the farm can better serve to communicate about our programs and serve as educational tools. They will then channel their creative side to paint some signs for the farm.
